The fair days of summer

Our day at the fair was lots of fun! Becky and I brought the kids to see all of the animals. First was "Sparky" the fire dog! Very exciting to meet the local celebrities :)
The kids fell in love with this little cow, Ribbon. Hallie really wanted to take her home... don't think Ryan would approve if I showed up back home with a cow!
In addition to cows, horses, sheep & other farm animals they got their picture with Leroy the monkey. Also, if you give him a dollar he'd give you a picture! Pretty cute :)
They also fed this elephant and kangeroos. We spent a long time in the petting zoo tent!! (It was POURING outside!! We stayed pretty dry)
...and of course we had to take in some yummy fair food!!

And we're off...

Okay, I have a lot to blog about the week... but in the meantime a lot has been happening around here. We are officially moving (to the Des Moines area). I guess I was kind of in denial for the first few days, but it is going to happen... so I better get used to the idea. It isn't that I don't want to move, just that I have met soooooo many people in the Quad Cities that I will miss! We will obviously come back and visit, but it just isn't the same! I will miss the zoo and park visits, scrapping over McDonald's lunch with friends, our neighbors, Sonic runs, hearing everyone's stories at the scrap store, the junk store visits, the opportunity to share my scrapping, and so much more!! The Quad Cities have been full of adventures for us!!

Dates? Wondering when?? Well, the official day we close on our house here is August 15th... due to moving help we will be moving on August 9th. {Right after my boot camp class at Scrapaganza... so if you want one more class with me get signed up!! It is from 10am-1pm and you will learn about a ton of techniques and products! I'd love to see you all again before I leave!!!}

As always I will keep blogging, but be sure to leave comments every once in a while so I know you guys are checking in on me {and it will feel like we're talking!}

Off to get some housework done and begin the packing process. I will be back on blogging about the fair and t-ball and other fun stuff from the week!
