Our little visitor

Reese wanted her friend Cailida to come over... so today was the day! The girls had so much fun together.
After lunch Hallie headed off to school & we headed to the park. (Miss Jen met us there to pick up Cailida)

I {heart} my big sissy

Piper is so fascinated with Hallie. Any time Hallie talks to her she coos and smiles and completely listens to her. These two have 10 minute conversations sometimes! She absolutely adores her... and Hallie loves it :) {notice they both have Little Miss Sunshine shirts??}

Duck, duck... goose

We have found a great little park near Hallie's preschool that has HUNDREDS of geese and ducks. We got some old bread and headed out. The girls had a blast! {Hallie got a little nervous as they began crowding her... but Reese was holding out strong! They didn't even make her flinch!}

Of course with another nice day we had to make the trip again... this time we brought a WHOLE loaf of bread! This is going to be our summertime hang out!

On the roll...

It's official... Piper is rolling over. She had her first roll yesterday, and since then she keeps practicing. (doesn't her "coach" look worn out?)

As requested...

While Josie, Dusty & Ryan were here I got out my camera for a simple picture for the blog... we ended with an all out photo shoot! :)

Baa Baa

Here is the video from Sunday. Hallie's class was up singing... I told Reese she could go up with Hallie (after another little brother went up) They were too cute!!

Playing catch up... and a video

Okay, so I was going to try to figure out how the heck I could post all of the pictures from the last couple of weeks... here's what I figured out... I'm not going to. I know I say I take a lot of pictures, but just to give you all a little perspective... in the month of FEBRUARY, just Feb... that means in 23 days... I have taken 419 pictures. Hmmmm, not sure I can blog that all! I just posted 14 blog posts to our 365 blog... so that should catch you up. From now on I will be a better blogger. (I feel like I should be signing a pledge or something) Feb has been a bad blogging month for me... but I will do better!

But of course I have to post something for you all tonight!!

Here is a video Hallie and Reese made for Jessie (I know, I am posting like a month late)

The Story Matters

Be sure to stop over to thestorymatters.blogspot.com for this week's challenge. The topic will be posted today...

Here is my {digi} layout.

The girls and I had a really fun day last week during the spring-like weather! The park is always a fun place to visit! I can't wait for spring to really be here!! :)

A sigh of relief...

I have been bothered all week about the Elementary situation for Hallie. The school we are zoned for is.... ummmmm... {nice way to say this????} NOT GOOD. (there are several non-English speaking students who require more help and slower learning... therefore slowing down the whole class) In our city, you can not "open enroll" to an Elem. school... you must go to the school you are assigned. However, we have a "choice" school. This school has a year round calendar, a bit different learning style, and again... I was apprehensive about it.

Today we went to take the tour...we took one step into the office and Hallie thought she just walked into heaven!! There was a RABBIT, loose, litter trained and on the go. He is very playful and friendly. For those of you who know my Hallie, you know she is the BIGGEST animal lover!! They have kids help feed the rabbit and give treats and all that.

The principle was so proud of her school. You could tell by the way she spoke of her students, teachers, and facility. She took us on a tour (which lasted about an hour) Hallie did a project with one of the classes, she visited every room, and was smiling the whole time.

It felt like a very welcoming and warm school. The principle knew all the kids' names, and a little about each. The students seemed happy and eager to learn. They were very excited to tell us what they were learning about.

After we left we had an answer. Hallie felt comfortable and confident going to kindergarten... and I took in a sigh of relief.

Part of the crowd

Piper just got this Bumbo seat this week {thanks Nick & Lori, for letting us borrow it!} Hallie sits her by her when she is playing & Piper feels like one of the big girls!
Doesn't she look big?? :(

I see the moon...

the moon sees me.
God bless the moon,
God bless me!

The moon was amazing the other night... these are the pictures I got of it!
EDIT: I have a Canon rebel xsi... I set it to the Tv mode... I changed my ISO so it snapped really fast... I squat down and put it on my knee (no tripod) Hope that helps you take your photos :)

Me again...

A whole week has gone by... and we have been nothin' but busy!! This weekend Miss Piper had her baptism. It was a Sunday full of "mishaps", but a day of fun, family & fellowship. In the end, we couldn't have asked for a better day! Thank you to everyone who made her day special.

While we were back in Ida Grove the girls got to go sledding (Hallie has been looking forward to this all winter). Even little Reese loved it... she was hesitant, but was having fun!
We also got to stop by and visit the Lansinks!! Hallie just loves playing with Ellie!! Ellie is very excited to be a big sister... so she practiced with Piper :) I sure wish they lived closer!!!

Here are more pictures from the Baptism:
Grandma Carmel

Papa & Nana

Papa & Grandma Tricia

Grandma & Grandpa Great (Bolles)
