Yes, there is a Santa Claus

The girls were so excited when we planned a trip to see Santa at the mall. Hallie is hoping for a doll named Marshmallow (she found in a magazine) and a Puppy stationary set. Reese is asking for a coloring book. (This started after Santa gave her one. Now when you ask her what Santa is going to bring her she says "a coloring book")

Little Piper looked so tiny for her picture... and so sweet!!

Of course the girls loved the train ride, too!

Happy birthday, ME!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, e-mails, facebook comments, cards and phone calls. My 28th birthday was great! All day, every time I turned around I heard little Reese, "Happy birthday, Mommy" (so sweet, made me smile every time, it never gets old!)

When Ryan got home we took a trip over to the Jolly Holiday Lights at Waterworks Park in Des Moines. It is 3.3 miles of lights that benefits the Make a Wish Foundation. At the end is Santa's Workshop. Hallie got her picture with Santa (the other girls were sleeping)









Then we headed to Texas Roadhouse for supper. It was very yummy. Of course, my mom told them it was my birthday, so I had to ride their saddle while they yelled out Yee Haw :)

So much fun, not so many pictures...

We had a GREAT Thanksgiving this year! My dad and Mary came over with "all the fixin's"!! Mary had everything you could think of... and the best mashed potatoes!! My sister Jess also made the trip! (Becky's family came on Friday) We watched the Macy's parade, ate way too much, and played lots of games!!! (We love playing games around here... Scattergories, Apples to Apples, & Things were our favorites this year!!) and of course everyone got their snuggle time with Piper :)

On Saturday afternoon it started snowing and continued through Sunday... Hallie was SOOOOO excited to get to go outside! Super Aunt, Jessie helped them make a "Frosty", and the kids acted like we had never fed them... they just grazed the yard eating snow!!!

I love getting together with family... but time always goes so fast!!! I can't wait for the next get together!! :)
