Finished Projects

I have worked on my CE projects a bit today, and got a few of them finished. Each class was so different and I took away different techniques, "tricks", and thoughts from each one. Here are my FAVORITE three projects...

Heidi Swapp...
Heidi's class was so fun! She incorporated a theme into her presentation... that everyday/everything is a "Once in a lifetime experience"... things that your kids do, things you do, and things we do a family... that exact experience will never happen again and it is our responsibility to record them for our family, our friends, our future generations. This is an adorable "mini book" on a chipboard frame/easel. I also used Heidi Swapp's Invisibles for the first time. We inked and inked and totally changed the look... I need to get more :) They are NEAT! (just need to add pics from my favorite Once in a Lifetime!!)

Tim Holtz
Okay, I have "met" him at CHA and such before while he was doing his demos... but taking a class from him is SO FUN!! He is so funny, and laid back, and sets a good pace! The finished project is so neat!! If you ever get a chance to take a Tim class... JUMP!! You will love it! I think the number one thing I took away from this class is something I already knew... I am forever going to use the blending tool when using distressing inks. I have known about this technique but always thought it would be a pain to have to have that tool out and use that when you can just use your ink pad and get the same results... but here's the FACT... you can't get the same results! The blending tool is a MUST!!!! (This book consists of a tag, a pocket page, and a clear photo protector, with grunge board covers)

7 Gypsies
I have always looked at 7Gypsies things and loved them... but being more of the blingy pink girl I haven't really used them much.... I leave this area of expertise to Lynn :) After this class I need: book board, and "red tape"!! This was a perfect project for my living room! And when I would look at their knobs I would think "cool", but never imagine them on a layout!! It was fun to play with 7 Gypsies goodies, and neat to see them all work together! :)

4 friends had to say...:
